Our Church

At Gateway we value gathering on Sunday mornings to worship Jesus together. Our gatherings include singing, praying, study of Scripture, encouraging one another, and Communion (which we participate in on the first Sunday of each month).

Everyone is welcome at our services! We offer coffee and tea and welcome arriving early for conversation and fellowship before the service or staying afterwards to connect with one another.

Our average service is an hour and fifteen minutes in length. A typical service will include a mixture of music, prayer, a sermon, and being together with God.

We value and enjoy having children involved in our services. At the beginning of the service children participate in worship with their families. Then during the sermon children are welcome to remain with their families or participate in our children's time downstairs. We welcome children of all ages and participate together in a family style. Our children's time is centered on Biblical teaching with plenty of interaction. We typically begin with a game related to our Bible passage, study the passage together, sing a song, and end with an opportunity for children to reflect on what God is speaking to them personally. We also offer a snack of popcorn during our lesson.

Our Pastor

Hi! I'm Dennis Simmons and have been the pastor at Gateway since 2011. I grew up in West Virginia, went to college in Indiana and seminary in North Carolina. I never anticipated living in New Hampshire, but now can't imagine not living here. My family and I consider ourselves blessed to be able to live our lives here in Plymouth. Being a husband, father of three daughters, and pastor of Gateway is gift of grace that I grow to appreciate with each new year.

I love adventure and exploring the beauty of New England. Sharing the beauty of God's creation on Instagram is one of my hobbies and would love to connect with you there.

With Jesus as my Savior, and the Holy Spirit as my Counselor I'm being brought closer to the Father each day. My hope as the pastor of Gateway is that we seek to glorify God with our lives and bless the Plymouth community through Him.
